Corsets and Bustiers: a history of lingerie
As recently as the 1830's, the corset was thought of as a medical
necessity. Being that women were the weaker sex, they needed the support
of a laced corset to hold them up for any length of time. Girls from the
ages of two or three began their lives being strapped in daily to a tight
laced corset. Unfortunately for the women, by the time they reached their
prime they were unable to stand or sit upright for very long without
getting the "vapours".
Early corsets were made from canvas, (plenty of that around from all the
sailing ships) and had laces all the way up the back pulled so tight as to
make it darn near impossible to draw a deep breath. Needless to say, the
prevailing fashion (or fetish) of the day was a very small waist line.
Today’s modern corset is made from softer and suppler materials such as
silk, satin and lace, (as well as leather) to name a few. It is designed
to accentuate a woman’s curves, not to alter them. For many men there is
nothing more arousing than the sight of a willing accomplice all dressed
up in a tight, laced up leather corset, and it’s a turn on for the women
too!
Out of the corset evolved the bustier, predecessor to the modern day
brazier. It seems that men even back then liked to see their women’s
breasts pushed up and squeezed together!
A bustier is basically an underwire bra that extends down to the
waistline. Traditionally with a lace up front, today’s bustiers can fasten
in a variety of ways. Zippers, snaps, hooks and eyes, (remember the
trouble we had undoing bras in high school?) even Velcro seems to get the
job done. Keep in mind the fastenings when considering a lingerie

of something resembling a harness, to a full fledged zippered, hooked, and
laced corset with an attached thong. Many teddies come with garter belts
attached, adding endless possibilities for some naughty, bad little girls’
psychopathic imagination to run wild with.

clearly the man does not lose when he gives lingerie out as a present. The
only time the plan backfires is when he gets something in the wrong
style—or much worse—the wrong size. But when the man puts some time and
consideration into the purchase of some lingerie, he and the receiver are
rewarded which is why it makes a great gift.
Too often men find themselves tempted to
buy whatever they happen to find attractive or sexy. These same men are
then surprised later on when their girlfriend or wife is utterly repulsed
by the lingerie and refuses to wear the garment. It takes a special kind
of woman to tolerate a thong but men continue to thrust their desires into
lingerie purchasing decisions that utterly conflict with the desires and
tastes of the partner. Thong sales only account for 23% of all lingerie
purchases which is why odds are that a woman probably will not appreciate

With the

styles you are likely to encounter.
Baby Doll Set
A baby doll set encompasses a large category of
lingerie items. Basically it’s a two piece set, consisting of a robe
or loose billowy top and matching bottom. The top is always loose
fitting and comes in just below the bust line, like an empire bodice.
The top is very loose fitting and short, ending at or just below your
rear. Baby doll sets are available in wide variety of fabrics from
silk and satin to sheer lace.
Chemise
A chemise is a short
flowing A-line gown that’s longer than a baby doll. The top usually
has spaghetti or halter straps. The angular shape of a chemise looks
good on almost every figure type. If you are concerned about your
mid-section look for a style that has built in figure control.
Sometimes a chemise comes with a matching bottom, but this varies from
style to style. The fabric choices range from patterned and solid
silks to very revealing lace, so there is something for everyone’s taste.
Camisole
A camisole is
female undershirt. It is loose fitting and has thin spaghetti straps
that go over the shoulder. It’s usually paired with a matching bottom.

very minimal overage.
Boy Shorts
If you’ve never heard of boy shorts think of

and some coverage on your rear. Conservative styles cover most if not
all of your rear, the more daring styles give you partial coverage.
Boy shorts are figure hugging or shaping, something those of us with

Bikini
Bikini bottoms offer full coverage on your rear,
and have thin straps on the side. They are available in loose fitting

Thong
A thong offers full to minimal coverage in the
front, and has thin sides usually 1” to ½” in width that come to a t
shape in the rear. The t-shape gives you practically no coverage on
your rear. Thongs are now worn just as frequently outside of the
bedroom as they are in it. If you are wearing tight, or figure hugging
clothing a thong is your best solution to combat visible panty line.
Cotton, lycra or micro-fiber fabrics are the most comfortable for
extended wear thongs.
G-String
While the back of a thong has very minimal
coverage with a narrow strip a g-string offers you no coverage, with a
simple single strand or string, usually 1/8” or less in width, not for
the faint of heart.
Garter Belt
A garter belt is made of piece of fabric that
wraps around your hips and usually has four straps (one for the front
and back of each leg). Sometimes the straps are attached to the lower
edge of a corset or camisole top. These straps attach to the top of
stockings, holding them up. The proper way to wear a garter belt is to
attach the stockings first, then put on your panties. While this may
look strange you’ll understand why the first time you need to visit
the bathroom.

How To Choose The Best

It is hard to define the best
swimwear. It depends on your personal choice whether you like one piece or two
piece swimsuits, sexy bikini or exotic swimwear, swim dresses or skirtinis.

Bust - lift your arms and measure around the fullest part of your bust.
Torso - holding one end of the tape measure at top of your right shoulder, wrap
it down across your body, between your legs, and up across your back to the
right shoulder again.
To measure your waist or hips take a deep breath and let it out slowly before
check the tape measure.
Waist - wrap the tape measure around that part of your waist where you fold when
you bend over.
Hips - stand with your feet together and wrap the tape measure around the
fullest part of your hips.
Now when you know your measurements and looking at the size charts you happen to
be between two measurements, just take the larger size – you will have more
comfort and support that way.
